MAN Campus Initiative
puts theory into practice
"Because we know that our success depends on motivated and qualified staff, we focus on early development of people who wish to shape the future."
Håkan Samuelsson, Executive Board Chairman, MAN Aktiengesellschaft
Close co-operation with technical universities is of great importance to us and is now to be expanded even further. To this end, the MAN Campus Initiative has been created, with Technische Universität München (TU München) an TU Dortmund as our first "Preferred Partner Universities".
The technical universities in Munich and Dortmund are two of the seventy universities and numerous external research institutes with which MAN maintains contact in eighteen countries. As part of the co-operation activities, students are given an opportunity to work on specific MAN research and development projects. Participants therefore become involved in highly-interesting technological and economical issues.
Both sides benefit from this co-operation. Universities gain access to MAN´s global know-how for their projects - and we have the possibility of introducing students to our company at an early stage.
As part of its MAN Campus Initiative, MAN is offering the possibility to participate in innovation projects, a course of lectures and a scholarship scheme TU München and TU Dortmund.
